‘A wedding reception does not just happen there has to be meticulous preparation.’

In order to ensure that the day is as you would want it I have to carry out my duties in a dignified and friendly manner and with splendour.

To achieve this I visit the couple before her special day and ensure

That all the requirements for her special day are met;

To meet and greet the families and friends;
To arrange the receiving line if one is required;
Ceremonially escort the couple and couples to their seats;
Say grace if required;
Announce and Introduce the speakers;
Assist with all presentations;
Carry out any traditional or ritual functions
(i.e. Cutting the Wedding Cake);
Organise and introduce the entertainment if required;
(Initiate the first waltz, etc)
 

It is my duty to closely monitor and liaise with all the other professional staff and ensure that everything runs efficiently and to time.
 

This enables the couple, host and guests to be free to relax and to thoroughly enjoy all of the festivities.
 

My only concern is that any problems that may occur are never known.
 

It is my pleasant task to ensure that you and your guests believe that everything went very smoothly, no matter what crises may have occurred out of sight!
 

It is my job and pleasure to make certain that your day is not spoilt in any.
 

At the end of the proceedings the Couples Parent's thanks me and says ‘You made the day and took away the worry.’
